Archana Puran Singh and husband Parmeet recreate ‘DDLJ’ train moment; their sons Ayushmaan and Aaryamann attempt ‘scary’ mountain climbing activity in Switzerland

Archana Puran Singh and husband Parmeet Sethi are making the most of their Swiss holiday with sons Ayushmaan and Aaryamann. From nearly missing a train, recreating iconic film scenes to braving a nerve-wracking mountain climb, their travel vlog is a delightful mix of laughter, nostalgia, and thrill. As Archana cheers from the sidelines, Parmeet and the boys take on ‘Via Ferrata’—a daring Alpine adventure they’ll never forget.

Almost about to miss the train

The trip kicked off with some drama when Aaryamann almost missed the train. Archana, Parmeet, and Ayushmaan boarded just in time, but Aaryamann came running at the last second. When Parmeet questioned Archana if she hadn’t informed him of the departure, Aaryamann joked that he couldn’t hear his mother’s “feeble voice.” Parmeet, in his classic humour, responded, “No one listens to their mother,” adding a laugh to the morning rush.

Visiting a small village Mürren

Exploring beyond Zurich, the family headed to the quaint village of Mürren, where the temperature dipped to -1°C. Parmeet mentioned, “We’re carrying lots of jackets.” He revealed they had an exciting activity planned called ‘Via Ferrata’. The village, wrapped in Alpine charm, offered breathtaking views and a promise of thrilling adventures.

Recreating DDLJ moment

Bollywood met Switzerland once again as Archana and Parmeet recreated the iconic DDLJ train scene. As the train was about to depart, Parmeet reached out for Archana’s hand—just like Raj did for Simran. Archana hilariously ran off saying, “Arre yeh toh Kuljeet hai,” referring to Parmeet’s role as the villain in DDLJ. Parmeet replied, “Kuljeet me bhi feelings hoti hai.” The adorable and witty recreation brought smiles to all watching the fun unfold.

Parmeet calls himself ‘an international star’

At Lauterbrunnen Valley, Parmeet declared, “I am an international star. You don’t know the star power,” while fixing his hair. Archana teased him saying the “mems” will notice him. As the family soaked in views of 72 waterfalls in the valley, Parmeet’s playful antics brought a dose of filmy flair to the Alpine backdrop. “Jo bache kuche baal hai, usko sawaar lu,” he quipped, adding charm to the lush Swiss scenery.

Parmeet and the sons go for ‘Via Ferrata’

As Archana cheered them on, Parmeet, Ayushmaan, and Aaryamann embarked on Via Ferrata—an Alpine climbing route with steel cables and ladders. Ayushmaan explained the concept, noting it was common in Europe. The trio geared up, acknowledging the difficulty ahead. Parmeet admitted feeling anxious, but the thrill was undeniable. While Archana stayed back to watch, she sent them off with a warm smile.

A scary adventure sport

Parmeet confessed that his hands had started scaling off from gripping the metal wires. Ayushmaan called it the most adventurous trip. He said, “You are your own responsibility in this sport. You have to walk the terrain by hooking yourself to the rope. This is the scariest adventure sport. Nani daadi sab yaad agaye,” sharing his experience to his mother, he added, “Mumma, I have never felt this scared in my life. Paragliding easy, skydiving easy, this is scary.”

Enjoying chai with pizza

After the adventure, Parmeet and Archana chose comfort. The duo sat enjoying tea paired with pizza in the absence of samosas. Surrounded by serene mountains and the peaceful, car-free village of Mürren, Parmeet quipped, “This village is car-free, and I want to be carefree.” Their laughter and the calming scenery offered a perfect ending to a day filled with thrills and the sweet simplicity of being together.
