Ankit Gera smoking for a cause!

Ankit Gera, currently playing Mayank in Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke shot for a sequence for which he had to puff on ciggies non-stop for a few episodes and he ended up smoking around 40 cigarettes.
His character smokes on and off on the show and eventually regrets being a chain smoker. Ankit says, “My character has the bad habit of smoking. It was surely not an easy task to smoke constantly for the scenes.I had no issues in smoking on-screen as it was highlighting the ill-effects of this bad habit. My character will give up smoking eventually. I am definitely against glorifying smoking.”
