Akshay Mhatre marrying Shrenu Parikh: Ours was a beautiful wedding...I am looking forward to spending my life with Shrenu now

Actor-couple Akshay Mhatre and Shrenu Parikh are married. The couple got married in Vadodara, Shrenu's hometown on December 21 in the presence of close friends and family. Shrenu's Ishqbaaaz co-actors and friends Surbhi Chandna and Mansi Srivastava were also spotted at the wedding.

Akshay said, "It was a beautiful wedding complete with all rituals and traditions. I have always imagined a life with a good companion, marriage and having kids. I am an introvert and a shy guy at heart. Shrenu is someone who is full of energy and pulls me into doing things. I enjoyed dancing at the wedding with her. In many ways she completes me. I feel we strike a good balance and that's the best part of our companionship. I look forward to spending my life with her now."

Shrenu added, "Every girl dreams about marriage and I am blessed that I have another family now. Akshay and his family have come as blessings in my life. We are blessed and look foward to this new phase in our lives." The couple will be back in Mumbai soon.

While Akshay has been seen in shows like Piya Albelaa and Indiawaal Maa, Shrenu has been part of TV shows like Ishqbaaaz and Maitree. The two met on the sets of Ghar Ek Mandir. In an earlier interview to BT, Shrenu said, "We have been preparing for the wedding for quite some time now. We always wanted to wedding with just our close family friends and relatives in attendance."
