Akshay Mhatre
, who was earlier seen in ‘
Piya Albela
’, is now a part of ‘
Indiawaali Maa
’. The show depicts the relationship between a mother and son in an interesting way. Akshay has been shooting for the show since a while now and to make commuting easier, has shifted to a new house near his sets.
Talking about the shifting process, Akshay told us, “I was thinking about moving to a new place for a while now. Initially, I used to travel from Navi Mumbai since my family stays there. But after some time, I realised that this is not something that I can do every single day. Even my parents said that I should get a place closer to the sets because it would be more convenient for me. While shifting closer to the sets saves me a lot of time, I do miss
maa ke haath ka
khaana a lot. I get more time now to do things that I like and most importantly, get enough sleep. I’m happy with my decision.”
When we asked Akshay about his bond with his mother, he told us, “I talk to my mom every day before sleeping. She can immediately tell that I have a bad throat just by listening to my voice. Then she will tell me what to do – she will remind me to keep sipping on warm water and take steam inhalation. I don’t even have to tell her anything, she just knows it. My mother is very much like ‘Indiawaali Maa’, and that is one of the reasons why I can relate to the show and my character so much.”
