Biological or not, embracing parenthood is a blessing. Adoption and surrogacy have always raised unwelcome questions in the past. Fortunately, the stigma has dissipated, and we can appreciate celebrities for it. Many of them have helped to fill the gap and motivate others to have a child with either adoption or surrogacy. Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh are not together anymore, but they are blessed with a daughter, Ayra Ali, who turned two last year, through surrogacy. The couple chose to keep their baby's news a secret until 2020. Now, the duo often shares adorable moments with their daughter on respective social media andles. Ayra's custody has been given to Sanjeeda.

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee are another television couple who have adopted children. They adopted two sisters Pooja and Lata in 2017. They went for adoption after learning that the little girls were forced to work as domestic help after their father's death. Ever since, they have been living happily ever after. In an interview, Gurmeet said, “The general belief is that you only adopt if you can’t have children of your own. That’s not true at all. Both Debina and I love kids and plan to have a couple of our own in the future. And when they come along they will be siblings for Pooja and Lata and all the Choudharys will happily live together under one roof.”

Actress Mandira Bedi and Late director-producer Raj Kaushal welcomed a four-year-old baby girl in July 2020 via adoption. The couple made their daughter 'Tara' and announced the news on social media in October 2020. Sharing the news on social media, the actress wrote, "She has come to us Like a blessing from above. Our little girl, Tara. Four years and a bit. With eyes that sparkle like stars Sister to her Vir Welcoming her home. With open arms and pure love. Grateful, thankful. blessed Tara Bedi Kaushal Became a part of our family on 28th July 2020". Mandira is also a mother to son Vian, who is 11 years old.

Television producer Ekta Kapoor welcomed a baby boy through surrogacy in 2019. She named her son, Ravie and has made him the center of her universe. She often shares adorable photos and videos of her son on social media. Ekta had earlier stated that she is not ready for marriage, but wants to embrace motherhood. In a detailed post, the television producer also revealed her hardships in becoming a mother.

Actress Sakshi Tanwar adopted a daughter in 2018. She named her 'Dityaa'. She keeps her life private but shared the good news on social media. In an interview with ETimes TV, the actress said, "With the blessings of my parents and the support of my family and friends, I have adopted a baby girl, who will soon turn nine months old. I am delighted to share my happiness with everyone as I welcome this bundle of joy into my life. This is undoubtedly the greatest moment of my life. My family and I are elated to embrace Dityaa. She is the answer to all my prayers and I feel blessed to have her in my life.” Sakshi considers the baby a blessing from Goddess Lakshmi and hence, has named her Dityaa, which is one of Goddess Lakshmi’s names. It means the one who answers prayers."

Comedian-actor Krushna Abhishek and his wife Kashmera Shah welcomed two twin boys, Rayaan and Krishaang through surrogacy. The couple dated for several years and then tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2013. Kashmera went through a very rough phase before her surrogacy journey. She had 14 failed IVF attempts at having kids. In an interview with ETimes TV, the actress stated, "I had 14 failed attempts at having kids. The IVF injections are no less than actually being a mother in the pregnancy stage. You have mood swings, put on weight, get annoyed just like any would-be mother. I had lost my health. My body went for a toss during the IVF process. It becomes difficult to lose weight because it's not natural. My doctor would tell me how I was losing out on my health and becoming extremely temperamental."

Samir Soni and Neelam Kothari adopted a girl 'Ahana' after two years of marriage in September 2013. Neelam spoke about her daughter Ahana and said, "The moment she entered the room, she looked at us and flashed her million-dollar smile. That was enough for us to bring her home. We can't keep our eyes off her. It breaks our heart to even say that she's adopted. Friends and family tell us that we have done a great thing, but we feel Ahana has done us a favour." The couple often shares their fun moments with Ahana.
