After completing her graduation from educational multimedia research center (EMRC) of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in 2014, Takkar got a break in a TV show and shifted to Mumbai. She made her debut in television with the longest running drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in which she played Sanjana from 2015 to 2016.
