played versatile roles in his career. The popular actor has recently joined the comedy-drama ‘Basanta Bilash’ and is set to entertain the audience with his performance. “I am playing Tukai’s character in the show and thoroughly enjoying the experience,” says Rahul.
The comedy-drama, set across the backdrop of a hostel named ‘Basanta Bilash’, features
Kanchan Mullick, Kamalika Banerjee and many others in prominent roles. ‘Basanta Bilash’ is a hub of fun galore and has accommodated people from different walks of life who bring fun and drama to an otherwise ordinary life.
Interestingly, Bengali audiences will see
Rahul in a brand new avatar as Tukai, protagonist Mahua’s (Nandini Dutta) childhood crush. He meets Mahua after a long time and decides to win her back. With a new mission in his mind, Tukai arrives at Basanta Bilash as a tenant.
Tukai, who was the heartthrob of his college, has turned into a man who is obsessive about cleanliness and sanitization. He is very punctual and trains his students at a particular time. While Tukai’s presence will stir up Mahua and her current boyfriend Rahul’s (played by Arpan Ghoshal) love life and add some serious fun to the story, the actor himself is enjoying playing the character. “I am really excited to play Tukai’s character. The humorous touch in the character made it more interesting. It’s been just a few days but I am enjoying it. I am looking forward to it,” adds Rahul.
