The year 2018 was quite eventful for Bengali television industry. It has marked some successful debuts and importantly many dashing comebacks too. From Prosenjit Chatterjee to Manali Manisha Dey, a number of actors have made their TV comebacks. While, some of their shows ranked on the TRP charts, some didn’t score well. ​Prosenjit Chatterjee:

Prosenjit made his comeback with the show ‘Ke Hobe Banglar Kotippoti’ as a host. It was one of the biggest comebacks of Bengali television industry. While launching, he promised to host the show as 'Bumba da' and not a superstar of Bengali film industry and he kept his promise. The show had a number of participants from different walks of the society. Some came to the show to win the prize money for the treatment of their beloved ones while some came just to meet Prosenjit. The actor was seen happily posing for a selfie or giving an autograph in between the shots. Although the show didn’t perform like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, but the viewers couldn’t get enough of Prosenjit and showered their love on him. (Photo: Facebook)

Manali Manisha Dey:

Mouri is back. Manali, who became a sensation overnight after her successful stint in ‘Bou Kotha Kao’, is back with her show ‘Nakshi Kantha’. Later, she was also seen in ‘Sokhi’ but she decided to concentrate on films and was only seen essaying cameo roles. The show 'Nakshi Kantha' has recently been launched and scoring well on the TRP charts. Oindrila Sen:

Oindrila started her career as a child actor. She was last seen in the popular family drama ‘Saat Pakey Bandha’ playing the character ‘Dushtu’. Sohini made her comeback to the small screen with the show ‘Bhoomikanya’. She started her career with television serial and moved to the silver screen. The ‘Phoring’ actress is presently seen essaying the character Twarita in ‘Bhoomikanya’. The show is yet to make a mark on the TRP charts but her acting skill is being praised by the audience. Vikram Chatterjee:

Bengali television actor Vikram Chatterjee made his comeback with the serial ‘Phagun Bou’ after his controversy arrest in 2017. Vikram was arrested on July 6, 2017, on charges of culpable homicide in model Sonika Singh Chauhan's accident case. Model and actress Sonika succumbed to her injuries and Vikram was injured in this accident. The case is still sub judice. His show ‘Phagun Bou’ is scoring well on the TRP charts too.
