#Rewind2021: Sunny Leone’s guest appearance to ‘Dance Bangla Dance 11’ welcoming Govinda as a judge: Bollywood biggies on Bengali TV

Bengali TV witnessed a starry affair in 2021. It welcomed many Bollywood celebrities as special guests and judges in different TV shows. Veteran actress and dancing queen Helen, actor Anil Kapoor, Remo D’Souza, Sunny Leone- a number of Bollywood biggies flew down to the city of joy to shoot for TV shows. Our very own ‘Hero No. 1’, on the other hand, graced ‘Dance Bangla Dance 11’ as a judge. Here’s a quick look at the star-studded moments…

Evergreen actress Helen’s appearance on the small screen was certainly a memorable moment of 2021. For the first time in history, the veteran actress featured in a Bengali TV show. The evergreen actress featured in ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’. Helen and Mithun Chakraborty’s duet performance simply made the episode memorable. Draped in a green saree, Helen looked breathtakingly beautiful as she appeared on Bengali television and did a few steps of ‘Dhunuchi Nach’.

The talented actor, who featured in Hollywood projects Mission Impossible 4 and Slumdog Millionaire and TV series 24 in its 8th season, also appeared on Bengali television a few months back. Anil enjoyed catching up with Mithun Chakraborty on the sets of ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’.

Keeping the trend of inviting Bollywood biggies to Bengali shows alive, ‘Dance Bangla Dance 11’ welcomed ‘Hero No. 1’ Govinda as a judge. The Bollywood actor became a part of ‘Dance Bangla Dance’ family and developed a good relationship with co-judges Jeet, Subhashree Ganguly, hosts Ankush Hazra-Vikram Chatterjee, mentors as well as the participants. The show came to an end after crowning Arnab Chakraborty and Sukanya as the winners yesterday (December 19).

While Kumar Sanu has been a part of Bengali reality shows before, ‘Super Singer Season 3’ had Sonu Nigam as a judge this year. Sonu and Kumar Sanu’s jugalbandi is the star attraction of this season besides Koushiki Chakraborty’s soulful singing and some talented participants.

Among many star-studded moments on Bengali TV in 2021, the viewers witnessed a special appearance of Sunny Leone as well. She featured in ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’ as a special guest. From grooving to the hit song ‘Baby Doll’ to joining judges Mithun Chakraborty, Dev and Monami Ghosh in ‘Dhunuchi Nach’, Sunny managed to cast a spell on the Bengali audience. While the audience went gaga seeing her on the small screen Monami, Dev heaped praises over Sunny for her professionalism and work commitment.

Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo D’Souza is the newest addition to the Bollywood celebrities who appeared on Bengali television. He flew to Kolkata to shoot with team ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’, starring Mithun Chakraborty, Dev and Monami Ghosh. He shares a good rapport with Mahaguru and couldn’t say no when he invited Remo to the show.

Akriti shared the judging panel with Mika in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Her charming personality instantly connected with the viewers. The show, which welcomed Shivamani, Shankar Mahadevan, and other eminent personalities in its Grand Finale, scored pretty well on the TRP charts.

Mika’s energetic persona and power-packed performance stole the hearts of Bengali audience instantly. He was seen as the judge of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ which concluded this year.

Raveena shares a close connection with Bengal and she has always been vocal about it. The pretty actress featured in ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’.

Abhijeet graced the reality show ‘Sangeet Er Mahajuddho’ which concluded its journey yesterday after crowning Shrayee Paul as the winner. Earlier, he has been a part of ‘Super Singer’ too.

‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’ welcomed ‘Rangeela girl’ Urmila Matondkar. She set the stage on fire with her charming persona and sharp dance moves.
