Raksha Bandhan 2019 wishes: Sandipta Sen to Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh, TV celebs share the most possessed gifts they have received on the occasion

Gifts are always close to heart and if it’s from your beloved brother or sister, no word is enough to explain how special it is. On Raksha Bandhan, Bengali television actors candidly share their most cherished Rakhi gifts. Take a look…

Sandipta Sen:

Sandipta is a single child. The actress, who is quite successful in her television career, considers Baal Gopal as her brother. She said, “Every year, I tie Rakhi on Gopal’s wrist. And the best gift he has given me is my life which is full of his blessings.”

Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh:

Rezwan, who is presently busy with daily soap ‘Sanjher Bati’, considers Raksha Bandhan to be very auspicious and he went emotional while talking about the occasion. “I have a younger brother. But I have always been blessed with sisters around me who love me unconditionally. To me it is the biggest gift. Be it Rakhi or Bhai Phonta, it holds a special place in my heart,” the actor shared. Interestingly, Rezwan had just finished a sequence on Rakhi for his show when we contacted him. He termed it is a ‘beautiful coincidence’ as he gets another chance to talk about Raksha Bandhan right after the shot.

Debaparna Chakraborty:

Debparna, has a brother who is 6 years older than her. Every year she receives special gifts on Rakhi. She said, “My brother never fails to surprise me when it comes to gifts on Rakhi. He knows what I like and gives me something keeping that in mind. Likewise, I also try to surprise him with the things which he wishes to have but never uttered about it. But nothing can bit the emotion when we were really young and used to exchange chocolates between us on Rakhi. That memory is my most precious gift.”

Suvajit Kar:

Suvajit is quite a popular face of Bengali television. He is playing meaty roles in ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’, ‘Chirodini Tumi Je Amar’ and 'Bokul Kotha'. Talking about Raksha Bandhan, Suvajit went quite emotional and took a walk down the memory lane. He said, “I have a brother but don’t have any sister. It always made me upset. But I had a teacher whom I considered as Didi. As she became my Didi, her sisters also became my sisters. I wasn’t attentive at all. But Didi used to take extra effort so that I memorise everything, read all the notes. Due to her constant guidance, I scored well in Madhyamik and passed with flying colours. This was the best gift ever. I wouldn’t have made it if she wasn’t there.”

Sudipta Chakraborty:

Sudipta has received many gifts on Raksha Bandhan till now. But one of her brothers gifted her something special, which left her overwhelmed.
