Puber Moyna preview: Moyna asks for Roddur’s support in order to prove her innocence

The Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Aishani De starrer Bengali serial ‘Puber Moyna’ is bracing itself for more drama in its storyline. The Bengali television show that started its journey a few months back is charting its way through twists and turns in its current track. As per the ongoing storyline of the show, Mohor has been entrapped by Rocky, a con-man who is being manipulated and used by Gunja as she seeks revenge against Moyna.
After Gunja had left Roddur astray at their wedding altar, he tied the knot with Moyna. On the other hand, Gunja, who hoped to go abroad and settle with Shreyash, was abandoned by him after he made her elope from her own wedding. Once abandoned by Shreyash, Gunja came back to her family in pursuit of winning Roddur all over again – either by hook or crook.
Although Moyna was accepted by most of the members of Roddur’s family, Roddur himself was not ready to consider her as his wife. As per the pre-decided terms, Roddur was supposed to be with Moyna till she became self-sufficient and fulfilled her dreams of becoming a doctor. However, Roddur was drawn to Moyna’s simplicity and her childishness and he gradually became affectionate towards her. Gunja saw this as a sign of her defeat and became desperate to get hold of Roddur anyhow. In order to assert her control over Roddur, Gunja planned to take him out for a party and planned to intoxicate him to get closer to him. She spiked his drink and Roddur was left almost unconscious. Gunja had her mind set to exploit Roddur while he was in that state. However, Moyna arrived at the party at the right time and rescued a hallucinating Roddur from Gunja’s clasp. A drunk Roddur confessed his true feelings of affection towards Moyna but forgot everything next morning.

However, Roddur realised that his memory of the previous night was not intact. Gunja, fearing that Moyna might have told everyone about the party, kept avoiding Roddur’s calls and showed up at the Dasgupta residence instead. As Roddur was not present, Moyna dealt with Gunja and Golu humiliated her for interfering between a married couple. Gunja vowed to take her revenge against Moyna for her humiliation and found an opportunity for the same when she saw Mohor with Rocky. Gunja knew about Rocky beforehand as he was a known addict and a con-man. She then manipulated him to extract money from Mohor.
As Mohor stole a huge amount of money from the locker to give that to Rocky, everybody raised finger at Moyna and tagged her as the thief. Mohor too tried to conceal her own deed and held Moyna responsible for the theft. However, Moyna claimed that she knew who had stolen the money from the safe and asked for Roddur’s help to find proof.
Roddur decided to help Moyna prove her innocence.
Will this camaraderie bring Moyna and Roddur closer?

The Bengali TV show ‘Puber Moyna’ aims to tell the story of Roddur Dasgupta, a young man from a unique and affluent joint family residing in North Kolkata. On the other hand, Moyna is a girl from Bangladesh, hailing from moderate means. Moyna and Roddur’s paths cross during the festivities of Durga Puja when Roddur rescues a drowning Moyna from the river. When Roddur brings Moyna to his home to treat her as a doctor and help her get back to her feet – Moyna forges a beautiful bond with his mother Ronjaboti.
Although Moyna and Roddur are mostly at loggerheads with each other, her simplicity and warmth gradually win over Roddur's family, bringing them closer together. In a twist of fate, Roddur and Moyna end up getting hitched. Will they ever find true companionship in each other? ‘Puber Moyna’ narrates the story of an unlikely bond that only grows fonder.
