The Bengali television show ‘Puber Moyna’ is all set to introduce a new track in its storyline after the protagonists Roddur and Moyna tied the knot.
After Gunja eloped with Shreyash on the wedding evening, Roddur had to marry Moyna as per Ronjaboti’s wishes. Once the post-wedding rituals were over, Roddur and Moyna’s Boubhat and reception ceremony took place while Debshankar, Rupai and Moyna’s grandmother were still there at the Dasgupta residence.
On the other hand, Shreyash’s true colours became evident before Gunja right on the next day. Gunja realised that she had made a mistake and came back with a story of Shreyash abducting her forcefully on her wedding. As per Gunja’s request, her parents decided to reach out to Roddur’s family to make amends. Gunja, along with her parents, arrived at Roddur’s place. She kept up with her act and apologised profusely to Roddur and his family members with tears in her eyes. Gunja asked forgiveness from Roddur for the sake of their friendship and Roddur forgave her thinking her apology to be genuine.
However, Gunja already had her plans ready to create a rift between Roddur and Moyna. On the next day, Gunja turned up at the Dasgupta residence bearing a gift for Moyna. Gunja narrated how bad she felt because of not being able to gift anything to Moyna on her reception, and handed her a box of expensive jewellery. Moyna, as a courtesy, offered her sweets.
As per the latest promo of the show, Moyna and Roddur are all set to go to Bangladesh for their ‘Ashtamongola’. However, Gunja arrives at the Dasgupta residence and seeks Roddur out before they step out of the house. Gunja claims that Roddur had promised to be with her on her birthday.
Will Roddur cancel going to Bangladesh with Moyna to be with Gunja on her birthday?
Who will Roddur choose – Moyna or Gunja?
‘Puber Moyna’, starring Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Aishani De, aims to tell the story of Roddur Dasgupta, a young man from a unique and affluent joint family residing in North Kolkata. On the other hand, Moyna is a girl from Bangladesh, hailing from moderate means. Moyna and Roddur’s paths cross during the festivities of Durga Puja when Roddur rescues a drowning Moyna from the river. When Roddur brings Moyna to his home to treat her as a doctor and help her get back to her feet – Moyna forges a beautiful bond with his mother Ronjaboti.
Although Moyna and Roddur are mostly at loggerheads with each other, her simplicity and warmth gradually win over Roddur's family, bringing them closer together. In a twist of fate, Roddur and Moyna end up getting hitched. Will they ever find true companionship in each other? ‘Puber Moyna’ narrates the story of an unlikely bond that only grows fonder.
