‘Puber Moyna’ is keeping the audience entertained with its fun-filled episodes. As per the current track of the show, Moyna has left everyone in the Dasgupta family impressed with her impeccable skill set.
Since Roddur came back home rescuing Moyna, she has been living in the Dasgupta residence with the family. As Moyna got acquainted with Roddur’s family, they were taken by the jovial nature of her in no time. However, Roddur is sceptical about Moyna’s stay at their residence. But as the family members grew fond of her, he had little say in it. Meanwhile, Moyna planned to call her father back in Bangladesh, so that she could go back home. Moyna took a one hundred rupee note from Roddur’s wallet while cleaning his room. The household cook, Holud, caught Moyna during the act. When Roddur realised that a hundred rupee note was missing, Holud told him that Moyna had stolen money from his wallet. As Roddur confronted her about it, Moyna confessed the truth. However, Moyna finally managed to call her father in Bangladesh. Debshankar, after hearing from his daughter, decided to bring Moyna back to Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, Moyna took part in the Laxmi Puja at the Dasgupta residence. She arranged everything for the Puja, and happily so. When Gunja arrived at the Dasgupta residence, she stepped on the ‘Alpona’ and had an argument with Moyna due to that. Throughout the whole course of Puja, they kept on arguing with each other. When Gunja was asked to light the candles, she failed to do so. Whereas, Moyna did the job swiftly and impressed everyone in the family. Not just that, when the priest asked someone to sing a song during the Laxmi Puja, Moyna gladly obliged. Moyna’s melodious voice left a lasting impression on everyone’s mind. As Moyna went on to make her place in everyone’s hearts, Gunja became jealous and insecure about her place in the family.
‘Puber Moyna’ aims to tell the story of Roddur Dasgupta, a young man from a uniquely dysfunctional family where no one gets along and Moyna, a girl from Bangladesh with a traumatic past. Roddur's family is infamous in their locality for their constant bickering, leading Roddur to vow never to marry. Moyna, who was married to a man from Bangladesh, with nefarious intentions, escapes from her dire situation and finds herself on the run. By chance, she encounters Roddur's mother, Ronjaboti and manages to save her belongings from thieves. Ronjaboti eventually gives her shelter. Moyna's simplicity and warmth gradually win over Roddur's family, bringing them closer together. Unaware of Moyna's past, Roddur marries her and Moyna eventually reveals her story to him. Roddur is initially shocked and outraged but chooses to keep her secret from the rest of the family. Just when it seems Moyna may find peace and happiness, her past resurfaces, threatening to disrupt their newfound harmony.
‘Puber Moyna’, starring Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Aishani De, narrates a story that beautifully captures the journey of overcoming past misfortunes to find happiness and a second lease on life. The makers of the show believe that the show will be a touchstone of nostalgia for ‘Dui Bangla’.
