Phagun Bou: 8 recent plot twists that left fans surprised

Daily soap ‘Phagun Bou’ is one of the most popular shows on Bengali television. The show, which started with a triangular love story of Roddur (played by Vikram Chatterjee), Mohul (Oindrila Sen) and Anurup (Koushik Roy), has kept the entertainment quotient intact with frequent twists and turns. From Anurup’s re-entry to Tuki’s proposed wedding with her elder sister’s ex, the show has featured many twists. When it comes to plot twists, nothing works better than a triangular love story. Keeping the formula alive, a music director enters into Mohul and Roddur’s life. She offers a playback singing opportunity to Roddur and convinces the responsible doctor into re-igniting his old passion for music. As if the triangular love story wasn’t enough, the makers decided to bring Mohul’s ex-lover Anurup back. Well, Anurup, who changed after marrying terrorist Brishtilekha, is back to square one and tries to create issues between Mohul and Roddur. From engaging in a late night conversation with Mohul to performing duet, Anurup played all his cards. The twist worked since the show fared well on the TRP charts that week.

To add more drama, it was revealed that Meghna had a connection with Anurup. It was Anurup, who asked Meghna to woo Roddur, while he tried to manipulate Mohul.

Following Meghna and Anurup’s entry into their life, Roddur and Mohul misunderstood each other. Mohul decided to leave the house and Roddur chose to pursue his musical career to prove himself. As if the ego clash wasn’t enough, the couple participated in a reality show and had a musical face-off too.

Recently, Roddur’s younger sister Tuki comes back from Bangalore and announces her marriage with much older Nilanjan (Badhsah Moitra), who turns out to be Tultuli’s (Bulbuli Panja) ex-boyfriend. Several years ago, Tultuli couldn’t get married with Nilanjan due to caste issues. In a dramatic situation, Tuki learns the same. Later, Tultuli meets Nilanjan at her place when he comes for Ashirbad ceremony. Both are left shattered.

Residence of the Ghosh family gears up for Tuki’s wedding. Tultuli puts a smile on her face and performs all the duties of an elder sister. She reminds Nilanjan of his duties, when the latter grows weak seeing Tultuli. But the bride herself has some other plans. During her gaye holud, she puts holud on her elder sister Tultuli, makes her bathe following the ritual and forces her to deck up on her wedding day

Drama is inevitable in a daily soap. Keeping the interest alive, there will be two major twists in the story. Mohul will soon disclose why she is behaving strangely with Roddur and living separate. Being an adarsh bahu, she is doing everything to rekindle Roddur’s passion to follow his dream, which he had buried long back.

On her wedding day, Tuki will go missing leaving a letter for Tultuli explaining her absence from biyer mandap. Jolly good fellow Tuki will make a huge sacrifice only to make her elder sister happy. It will be interesting to see whether Tultuli gets married to Nilanjan.
