Mithun Chakraborty-Dev starrer dance reality show to family-drama ‘Mithai’; New Bengali TV shows to look forward in 2021

Many new shows are set to entertain the Bengali audience in the new year. Leading TV channels are working hard to hook the TV viewers to the small screens with their mixed platter of entertainment. The most-anticipated reality show ‘Dance Dance Junior 2’ featuring none other than Mahaguru Mithun Chakraborty and Tolly heartthrob Dev will soon be launched. 'Dance Dance Junior Season 2' is certainly the most anticipated show of 2021. The last season of this dance reality show was quite successful. The new one has many surprise elements as well. Superstar Dev will be seen as the judge of ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 2’ alongside our very own ‘Disco Dancer’ Mithun Chakraborty. Adrit Roy and Soumitrisha Kundu starrer family-drama ‘Mithai’ will be launched on January 4. It has a strong star cast that includes- Prriyam Chakraborty, Diya Mukherjee, Oindrila Saha, Uday Pratap Singh, Biswabasu Biswas and others. Adrit, who made his debut with Bengali film ‘Noor Jahan’, will be seen in a daily soap for the first time. He will play Siddhartha, who is from a joint family. Mithai, on the other hand, is a village belle, who knows magic when it comes to preparing sweet delicacies. It is again a multi-starrer show. Dibyojyoti Dutta, Rahul Banerjee, Ashok Bhattacharya, Anashua Majumder, Rooqma Ray, Tathagata Mukherjee, Shruti Das, Bharat Kaul will play prominent roles in this show. The family drama will tell the tale of family roots, values and beliefs. (Photo: Facebook)

Yet another Bengali television serial is set to launch this year. It will star actress Tumpa Paul in the titular role in the upcoming show ‘Rimli’.

Leena Ganguly and Saibal Banerjee produced ‘Robir Notun Bouthan’ is a period-drama. The cast is yet to be announced.
