Javed Ali to Shantanu Moitra: Here's a look at the judging panel of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

​‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is set to premiere another brand new season this year. Like all the previous seasons, this season too has a few surprises in store. 21^st season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is set to have eight judges on the panel. But unlike the previous season, this time, there will be no mentors on the show. The list of the judges for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 21 is out. Take a look here.

​When one talks about contemporary musicians and playback singers in India, they cannot keep Javed Ali out of the list. The ‘Tu Jo Mila’ crooner is all set to brace the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa as a judge. The popular playback singer has won hearts with songs like ‘Jashn-E-Bahaaraa’, ‘Arziyaan’, ‘Tum Tak’. Javed Ali has sung several Bengali songs like ‘Ami Tor’, ‘Dur Dur’, ‘Jotodur Tumi’, ‘Khushi Ki Eid’.

​Shantanu Moitra is one of the most acclaimed musicians and music directors in India. The Bengali musician has composed scores for films like ‘Parineeta’, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Pink’, ‘Wazir’, ‘October’. Shantanu Moitra is well-versed with several musical instruments and has been associated with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for years, and harbours a penchant for traveling.

​Kaushiki Chakraborty, daughter of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, is one of the most prominent classical singers of recent times. Kaushiki is a classical singer of the Patiala Gharana and her repertoire covers pure classical, Khyals, Dadras, Thumris, Bhajans and several other forms of Indian music. Kaushiki has sung for Bengali films like ‘Bismillah’, ‘Chaplin’, ‘Shunyo Awnko’.

​Iman Chakraborty is one of the most popular faces and voices of Bengal music scene. The folk singer rose to fame with ‘Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho’ featured in ‘Praktan’. Iman won the National Award for the same song in 2017. Iman previously has been associated with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and has served as one of the mentors on the show.

​Jojo, popularly known as Miss Jojo, is one of the most popular singers from Bengal who became viral with her songs before the era of ‘trending’ even began. With chartbusters like ‘Ui Maa’, ‘Ichak Dana’, ‘Bhogobaan Bhyabachyaka’, Jojo became a household name. She is all set to grace the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa this season as a judge.

​Antara Mitra, the ‘Gerua’ girl rose to fame when she participated in the popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’. Her breakthrough happened with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s hit film ‘Dilwale’, where she sang two songs, ‘Gerua’ and ‘Janam Janam’ with Arijit Singh. The popular Bengali singer is all set to judge this season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

​Raghab Chatterjee, the ‘Chand Keno Ashe Na Amar Ghore’ crooner is a prominent Bengali singer who has been in the music industry for over two decades. The singer started his journey in music with learning guitar when he was just nine. While his very first music teacher was none other than his mother, Raghab has been inspired by the likes SD Burman, RD Burman, Madanmohan, Sudhin Dasgupta, Salil Chaudhury and their musical journey.

​Indraadip Dasgupta debuted as a music composer with ‘Teen Ekke Teen’ in 2004. Since then, his music has weaved magic in films like ‘Bor Asbe Ekhuni’, ‘Le Chakka’, ‘Jaani Dekha Hobe’, ‘Hawa Bodol’, ‘Proloy’, ‘Khaad’, ‘Bastu Shaap’, ‘Rajkahini’, ‘Bismillah’. Indraadip debuted as a filmmaker with ‘Kedara’ starring Kaushik Ganguly and Rudranil Ghosh.
