A glimpse of Devlina Kumar’s look in mythological TV show ‘Jai Jagannath’

Bengali actress Devlina Kumar, who mostly stays busy with movies and other projects , will first be seen in a daily soap. The actress will play Padmabati’s role in the mythological show ‘Jai Jagannath’. She will play Padmabati, who devoted her life to Lord Jagannath. Padmabati

Devlina will play the iconic character of Padmabati and the makers of 'Jai Jagannath' are leaving no stone unturned to make the upcoming track more special. Devlina's look has been beautifully conceptualised with minute details. She will sport several looks for the show depending on the sequence. Keeping the era in mind, the costume and jewelleries have been used for the show. This is one of her looks in ‘Jai Jagannath’. Draped in a simple traditional saree, Devlina oozes charm.

Off to a new start

Devlina is really excited about her new venture which will feature her in a completely different avatar. Prior to shooting for the promo, Devlina was caught in the make-up room getting ready.

​Traditional touch

Devlina’s look in the show will be essentially traditional that reflects the rich tradition of Odisha. Red kumkum on the forehead, surrounded by white design, floral ornaments accompanied by heavy ornaments made Devlina look absolutely beautiful.

​A devotee of Lord Jagannath

Interestingly, Devlina is also a devotee of Lord Jagannath and considers it as a blessing to get the opportunity to be a part of the mythological show. “I am a devotee of Lord Jagannath. And I think it is his blessing that I am playing Padmabati’s character in this mythological show. I am really excited about it,” she said.

Dance sequence

The upcoming storyline revolving around Padmabati and Purushottam Dev, will feature some beautiful dance sequences. “I am really excited to play Padmavati’s character in Jai Jagannath. The story is beautifully weaved by the makers and there will be dance sequences. Since I am a trained dancer, I am looking forward to it,” says Devlina. Odissi dance sequences have been woven with the storyline. The get up of Odissi dancers is complemented by intricate filigree silver ornaments and some of these have been used by the makers to complete Padmabati’s look.
