The year 2016 is the 30th birthday for the Children’s Museum in Winnipeg and perhaps there is no better year to bring your family here to discover all the learning and fun this place has to offer. The museum is actually housed in the oldest train repair facility in Western Canada and focuses on a hands-on approach, sparking children’s creativity and imagination. There are a total of 12 permanent galleries at the museum as well as a snack bar and the choice to bring in your own lunch and snacks. Some of the most popular galleries include the Pop m’Art, an exhibit set up so that kids can choose their own art supplies in a grocery store setting and create their own masterpiece. The tumble zone will cater to those kids who love to build, and knock things down, encouraging kids to try different ways of building structures. For the littlest of visitors, the Tot Spot is the perfect place to explore through tunnels, tents, train tracks and a bubble wall. Admission here is reasonably priced and the same price whether you are 2 years old or 100 years old, making this an incredibly family friendly option.
