The characteristic red walls and the large blue mural of Ganpati can be spotted as soon as you head downstream after Dashashwamedh Ghat. More than a hundred years old, the guesthouse was once an old haveli. It now stands at Meer ghat and is one of the most popular and economical accommodations on the ghats of Varanasi. Its main draws include the colourful walls, a fountain in the courtyard, slow service on the rooftop café (typical of Varanasi), well furnished rooms and the friendly staff.
