The announcement comes as a relief for lakhs of travellers who were looking for direct flights from Kerala. The CM, addressing the annual general body meeting of the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), also discussed the plans for the renovation of the Terminal 2 at the airport; the work will start from next month.
Moreover, Kerala has revised its domestic travel advisory and fully-vaccinated travellers do not require a negative RT-PCR test result to enter the state. The decision was made by the state government after analysing the pace of the vaccination. All they need is to show their valid vaccination certificate for both doses.
Air India took to Twitter and said, "Important update for Domestic Passengers."
