Travellers from Maharashtra take note, as the Karnataka Government has now issued COVID-19 guidelines for short term travellers from the state. Any travels that take two days or less is to be considered as a short travel. Karnataka takes this decision after the COVID case load is slightly higher in Maharashtra.
According to an official statement, it has been relayed that the travellers need to undergo mandatory thermal screening for fever upon arrival. They are also required to carry their double dosed COVID vaccine certificate.
If travellers can adhere to these rules and regulations, then they may be exempted from mandatory RT-PCR negative test reports for short durations of travel.
Karnataka is a neighbouring state of Maharashtra, and travellers often enter the state for a short holiday, or even for business travels.
