USA’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its travel recommendations now. The organisation has eased travel recommendations for more than 110 destinations. Previously, the CDC had rated nations at Level 4, which is the highest level. But has lowered 61 of them to Level 3 on the danger scale.
Countries such as Ecuador, South Africa, Russia, Mexico, Switzerland, Ukraine, France, Hungary, Italy, Honduras, the Philippines, and France have been included in the Level 3 list as of now. Japan was also added in the list since the Tokyo Olympics is due to take place in July, 2021.
However, it has been reported that not all the recommendations were updated since “flight availability, restrictions on U.S. citizen entry and impediments to obtaining COVID test results within three calendar days.”
Europe has opened up for summer vacation, however there are the above restrictions to keep in mind when it comes to US citizens wanting to travel. While it is easier for vaccinated travellers to enter a country at this time, certain countries are also permitting travellers entry on the basis of an RT-PCR test report. Then again, the test must be only 3 days old from the date of entry.
