With a total length of 2.32 kilometers, Sudarshan Setu is now India’s longest cable-stayed bridge. The bridge spans the distance between the Okha mainland and Beyt Dwarka in Gujarat. Its strategic location connecting Okha mainland with Beyt Dwarka, an island near the Okha port, is of particular importance. What sets Sudarshan Setu apart is not just its impressive length but also its unique design elements. The inclusion of a footpath adorned with verses from the Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna adds a cultural and spiritual dimension to the bridge. This design choice not only showcases India's rich cultural heritage but also offers a serene and contemplative experience for those crossing the bridge.
With a width of 27.20 meters and footpaths measuring 2.50 meters on both sides, the bridge ensures safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles alike. Its strategic location connecting Okha mainland with Beyt Dwarka, an island near the Okha port, is of particular importance. Beyt Dwarka is approximately 30 kilometers from Dwarka town, which is famous for the Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Formerly known as the 'Signature Bridge', the structure has been renamed 'Sudarshan Setu', reflecting its significance and the cultural ethos of the region.

Expected to enhance tourism, save time, and improve access to quality healthcare, the Sudarshan Setu holds promise for the region. Additionally, PM Modi is set to inaugurate various projects in Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, and Porbandar districts, including the electrification of a 533-km railway line and the inauguration of offshore pipelines at Vadinar under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
