Rajasthan to go in complete lockdown from May 10; know about the travel restrictions

Rajasthan government has announced a complete lockdown from 10 to 24 May due to rising COVID-19 cases in the state and the country. The announcement was made by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot after consulting the Council of Ministers on Thursday. The lockdown will begin on May 10 from 5 AM and will continue till May 24 (5 AM).

All activities will be banned completely in Rajasthan during this phase which includes wedding ceremonies too. In fact, all wedding ceremonies have been prohibited the conduct of any wedding functions till 31 May. Only essential services will be available during the lockdown.
Things one must know before travelling to Rajasthan:


1) From May 10 to 24, all the religious places will remain shut. All the famous temples and other religious spots have been given strict instructions.
2) Only emergency vehicles will be allowed to enter the state. Both private and public transport will be permitted.

3) Inter and intra-state movement of goods and commodities will be allowed during the lockdown.

4) Intra-state travel between districts, cities and villages will be completely banned.

5) Negative RT-PCR test report is mandatory for those entering Rajasthan from other states. If a person fails to show a negative report, he/she will be quarantined for 15 days.

6) Special buses will operate for the factory workers and those working on construction sites.

Several other restrictions were already in place in Rajasthan under 'Red Alert Public Discipline Fortnight'. On Thursday, the state recorded 17532 new COVOD-19 cases and 161 deaths.
