This is a story of two Kashmiri pony keepers, namly Rafiq and Affroz who travelled nearly 70 km to return gold jewellery of a tourist who left it back in Pahalgam.
The two men travelled all the way to Srinagar from Pahalgam to return the ornaments. The family that was visiting Pahalgam had misplaced their valuable gold jewellery while riding Rafiq and Affroz’s ponies.
The tourists from Surat, Gujarat, expressing their gratitude for the two pony keepers, said, "Our cab drivers, Tahir and Bilal, worked tirelessly and tracked down the two pony keepers' phone numbers. When we called them, the duo travelled 70km to Srinagar from Pahalgam to return the valuables".
This is not the first tale of pure honesty that has won hearts. Back in March, an auto driver returned a phone and a wallet of a customer. The man was praised for his efforts.
Then there was a man from Kerala who returned a lost wallet that had INR 65000. The man had found the wallet full of money on a road. He took the wallet and submitted it to a nearby police station. The police found the owner, who was a rickshaw driver.
