Delhi's iconic and now revamped Chandni Chowk all set to be inaugurated on April 17

Delhi's iconic Chadni Chowk has been revamped, and is all set to be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on April 17. Reportedly, the revamped stretch has been enhanced with smooth road and green zones.

A number of new facilities will now be available there to ensure tourists coming from across the world have a great time during their time in the bustling historic market. The revamped stretch will run from Red Fort to Fatehpuri Mosque, which will remain a non-motorised zone from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Work on this 1.3 km stretch from Red Fort and Fatehpuri Mosque, had started in December 2018, which will soon be operational in full swing. It is believed that the beautification of this stretch will provide a huge boost to the city’s tourism industry.

The stretch developed at an estimated cost of INR 99 crore as per the Delhi government, they have made all the efforts to enhance the beauty of the historical site. The administration also did a lot of things to make Chandni Chowk look green and beautiful and a sight to behold.
Further, for non-motorised vehicles, a wide pavement of around 5 to 10 m has been built on either side of the road. Then, there is a 2.5 m footpath on either side of the road. However, electric vehicles will be allowed to operate for the convenience of senior citizens.
