Odisha’s first Vande Bharat to start operation; things you need to know

Odisha’s first Vande Bharat Express train will start operation from tomorrow, that is, May 20, 2023. As per reports, the express train will run between Puri in Odisha and Howrah in West Bengal.
If reports are to go by, Odisha's Vande Bharat will cover several districts in the two states of Odisha and West Bengal. The train is expected to cover a total distance of 500 km in just six and a half hours with halts at seven stations, namely – Khorda, Cuttack, Jaipur, Bhadrak and Malasore districts in Odisha, and Paschim Medinipur and Purba Medinipur districts in West Bengal.

This express train is scheduled to run on all days, except every Thursday. That’s quite a frequency and a fast one too at that. The 16-coach Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will clearly make travel from the holy city of Puri to Howrah very quick, easy and seamless.

Puri and Howrah are two very important tourists destinations Now, with the new Vande Bharat train, there will be easier access to popular tourist attractions such as the Puri Jagannath Temple, Puri Beach, Konark Temple, Raghurajpur, Chilika Lake, Belur Math, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden, and Howrah Bridge to name some.

Puri is just 62 km from the capital city of Bhubaneshwar, and Howrah is about 16 km from Kolkata, the capital city of West Bengal. Swift connectivity between both these destinations (Puri and Howrah) also means that now travellers will be free of so many travel hassles. For starters, travellers will also have the option to explore without going through the hassle of navigating through busy capital cities.
