For those who are waiting to see these cheetahs, the wait will be over in no time. Very soon, in the month of February itself, cheetah safaris will be allowed at Kuno Palpur National Park. The state government is hopeful that the new cheetah safari will help boost tourism in the state, and will be beneficial for the tribal communities too. Read less

It is imperative to note that recently, India and South Africa signed an agreement, under which more cheetahs will be flown in from South Africa to India annually, for the next eight to 10 years. These cheetahs will be distributed to a number of national parks in the country.
About Kuno Palpur National Park
Kuno Palpur National Park or Kuno National Park is a national park and wildlife sanctuary spread across Sheopur and Morena districts in Madhya Pradesh. The area was established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1981, and in 2018, it was declared a national park.
Most of the people residing in and around the protected area are from the Saharia tribal community.
