Air India is starting Kochi-London flight operations from August 28 to September 27, 2020 as part of the Vande Bharat Mission. Air India is already operating repartition flights from London to Delhi, and Mumbai. According to the airline company, there will be two flights per week, one on Fridays, and the other on Sundays. The direct flight between London and Kochi could possibly help a lot of people who are stranded.
At present India is starting air travel bubbles with foreign destinations, such as Maldives, and the UAE. This is the beginning of post-COVID travels, and is looking promising but only if all precautions are taken, and people are aware of the gravity of the situation. While this Kochi-London flight service is only until September 27, we can hope for a permanent direct flight in the near future.
