Applestone Park is located on Applewood Drive SE, and although there is no parking lot at this park, there is free street parking. What makes this playground so awesome is the abundance of different things to play on, starting with the accessible preschool climber that is loaded with musical panels, train play panels, slides and ramps. Older kids will go nuts for the merry-go-round spinner, climber with bridges, catwalks, ropes, climbing walls and more. There is a total of six swings here, a favourite for many with one of them being accessible and two of them being baby swings. The playground is only a few years’ old which means that it is in great shape, and is separated into three areas with a path that connects them. The flooring here is all recycled tire which means less bumps and bruises when the little ones fall, except for under the swings which is pea gravel. The ramp system throughout the playground is really what makes it stick out from others and kids will love running up and down, time and time again. With an incredible amount of special features for kids with accessibility issues, the park is one of the best all-inclusive playgrounds in the city of Calgary.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
