Better times are ahead for train travellers in India as the Indian Railways has just launched a campaign to improve railway stations across the country. The Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Limited (IRSDC) has just come with ‘SRIJAN’ (Station Rejuvenation through Joint Action), an idea competition which aims to redevelop as many as 600 railways stations in different parts of the country.
Named ‘SRIJAN,’ it is available on the MyGov portal since January 26,2018, which allows all kinds of railway stakeholders, including passengers, engineers, architects, and urban planners to send in their ideas for the redevelopment of railway stations with the last date of submitting the entries being March 26, 2018. What’s more, there is a scope for people to win this competition by giving worthwhile entries as well.

The Ministry of Railways has revealed that the winner of these entries will not only be given certificates crediting them, but also the worthy ideas will be considered for the actual station redevelopment plan.
Apart from this idea competition, the MyGov portal has also announced a logo and tagline competition, each winner of which will be given an amount of INR 75,000. The last date for making entries for this logo and tagline competition is also March 26, 2018.
