Indian Railways has decided to run 26 special trains between Mumbai, Pune, Varanasi, Balharshah, Mua, and Danapur, among other destinations to facilitate the travel of passengers and handle the extra rush during Holi, the festival of colours. Recently, the Central Railways (CR) announced to run these special Holi trains to manage the rush. Read less
As per the latest reports, the ticket bookings for these special trains will start from February 29, 2020. These trains will chug between the designated stations from March 5 to 15. While 10 extra trains will run between Pune and Balharshah, four weekly special trains will be operated on the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Patna, four trains each on LTT to Varanasi, Pune to Danapur route, and on LTT to Mau.
Following are the details of those 26 special weekly trains:
Train no. 01480 Weekly Special will start from Ballarshah at 6:15 PM every Wednesday from March 4 to April 1 (5 trips), which will arrive in Pune at 5 PM the next day.
Halts: Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Virar, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Bhestan, Chalthan, Nandurbar, Amalner, Dharagaon, Paldhi, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Wardha, Hinganghat and Chandrapur.
Coaches: 1 AC 2 Tier, 5 AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper class, and 6 General Second Class.
LTT-Patna-LTT route (weekly) 4 trips
Train no. 02041 Weekly Special will start from LTT at 05:10 AM on March 5 and March 12, which will arrive in Patna at 11:20 AM the next day.
Train no. 01104 Weekly Special will start from Patna at 9 PM on March 6 and March 13, which will arrive LTT at 4:10 AM on the third day.
Halts: Thane, Kalyan , Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Pipapriya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaye, Buxar and Ara.
Coaches: 1 AC 2 Tier, 3 AC-3 Tier, 14 Sleeper Class, and 5 General Second Class.
LTT-Varanasi-LTT route (weekly) 4 trips
Train no. 01117 Weekly Special will leave LTT at 11:05 PM on March 8 and March 15, which will reach Varanasi at 6:15 AM on the third day.
Train no. 02048 Weekly Special will leave Varanasi at 8:00 AM on March 10 and March 17, which will arrive at LTT the next day.
Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Pipapriya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur and Allahabad Chheoki.
Coaches: 1 AC 2 Tier, 3 AC-3 Tier, 14 Sleeper Class, and 5 General Second Class.
LTT-Mau-LTT route (weekly) 4 trips
Train no. 02043 Weekly Special will leave LTT at 5:10 AM on March 7 and March 14, which will reach Mau at 9:50 AM the next day.
Train no. 01120 Weekly Special will leave Mau at 7:25 PM on March 8 and March 15, which will reach LTT at 5 AM on the third day.
Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Harda, Itarsi, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Vidisha, Bina, Saugor, Damoh, Katni Murwara, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur and Allahabad Chheoki, Varanasi and Aunrihar Jn.
Coaches: 1 AC 2 Tier, 3 AC-3 Tier, 14 Sleeper Class, and 5 General Second Class.
Pune-Danapur-Pune route (weekly) 4 trips
Train no. 01123 Weekly Special will start from Pune at 5:40 PM on March 8 and March 15, which will reach Danapur at 1:30 PM on the third day.
Train no. 01124 Weekly Special will start from leave Danapur at 6:30 AM on March 11 and March 17, which will arrive in Pune at 5:10 PM the next day.
Halts: Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipapriya, Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaye, Buxar and Ara.
Coaches: 1 AC 2 Tier, 3 AC-3 Tier, 14 Sleeper Class, and 5 General Second Class.
