What better way to embrace the cold winter days here than to bundle up and get outside, specifically to Arctic Glacier Winter Park. Open only in the winter, there is an abundance of activities to enjoy outside, just make sure you dress warm! Lace up your skates and join the locals on the Plaza Skating Rink which is artificially cooled, letting the ice last a long time. Make sure to look up at the canopy while you skate as it is lit up with bright lights that move to the music. Or for those who are more interested in playing a pick up game of hockey head over to the Olympic sized skating rink where hockey nets and warm up shacks are located. Snowboarders will be happy to hit up the fun park where jumps, rails and table tops await the adventurous. Kids will love sliding down the toboggan run that is located behind the parkade and allows sliders to slide right into Festival Park. There is even an interactive ice castle that is made each year by talented sculptors, as well as festive lights throughout and warming huts.
