If you want to try skiing, or perhaps you already know how and are just looking for some skiing fun, there is no shortage of it in Edmonton. Visitors to the city can choose from four different ski and snowboard hills including Snow Valley, Edmonton Ski Club, Sunridge, and Rabbit Hill, each offering something a unique experience. We suggest trying them all if you get a chance. Whether you want lessons, it is offered in all of them; a week in a ski camp, terrain parks, snow tubing or just a warm chalet to soothe away the shivers, they have got it all. The nice thing about all these resorts is the amount of snow they get and they can produce. With temperatures dropping below zero you can hit the slopes as early as November. With ticket prices starting at under $30 for an entire day, and with many of them offering a “kids ski free under 6 year old option,” this winter activity doesn’t have to be expensive. Equipment is available for rent at all locations, and trained instructors are there to help you along the way.
