There is no shortage of parks in Calgary, in fact the city is abounding with greenery, and there is something just truly romantic about strolling hand in hand through the parks. The walk along the Bow River is truly spectacular with sections that wind through towering trees, and over cute bridges that look more like they have been picked from a fairy tale. The parks throughout the city include ones that feature mini-putt courses, adorable ice-cream shops, and paddle boats for rent. Head to the newly opened Bowness Park where you can dine at the lovely tea house, and rent a canoe for a paddle in the lagoon. Pack a picnic and head to Prince’s Island Park where you can watch the ducks as they paddle through the water, or enjoy a Shakespeare on the Bow performance. You could also explore some of the lesser known parks throughout the city either by boat, canoe, raft, or your own two feet.
