Get ready to click storks, eagles, pintail ducks, coots, herons, drongos, sandpipers, kingfishers and many more.Named after India's famed ornithologist, Dr. Salim Ali Wildlife Sanctuary is situated just off Panaji and accessible by a boat ride. Cooler early mornings are best to visit this site and enjoy the shared boat rides. Renting a boat to yourself may be relatively expensive but if you are a die-hard fan of watching birds at your own pace or prefer a romantic getaway, this is a perfect place to be. You could rent a bike to get here from Panaji or simply hire a cab.
