The Midway at the Calgary Stampede isn’t just for kids, although there is plenty for kids to do as well. Made up of rides and games, this is the perfect place to spend an afternoon at the Calgary stampede. New in recent years, visitors to the midway can try their hand at axe-throwing at the Adventure Park along with paintball competitions and a rock climbing wall. For something a little different, challenge yourself in the escape room where you have exactly 10 minutes to try and escape the locked room, only unbreakable by solving western themed puzzles. Hop on one of the thrilling rides that shoot up in the air or spin you round and round, or choose the more relaxing Ferris Wheel. There are plenty of games to play to win the ultimate oversized stuffed animals as well as kid’s games that guarantee a prize every time. In most recent years the Stampede has done a great job of separating the kids midway and the more mature midway into two different sections, making it easy to explore the one you want.
