Sydney boasts dozens of lovely walking tracks around the harbour and along the surrounding beaches. Work up a sweat by the sea
Noteworthy for: Between early May to late November, watch for humpback whales frolicking just offshore as they migrate between their breeding and feeding grounds.
Wide promenades along Bondi, Balmoral and Manly beaches lend perfectly to lazy afternoon strolls (and cafe stops), while those seeking solitude may prefer the quiet bush track linking North Curl Curl with Dee Why, or the multiple nature walks around Pittwater.
Don't forget your camera, as you may spot dolphins, varied bird life and all manner of interesting reptiles en route.
