Green and leafy oasis in the heart of Palermo
Word to the wise: If you're not a dog-lover this isn't the place to go. Many dog owners come here to walk and let their animals play with each other.
Talk of the town: It was once the site of a maximum-security prison demolished in the 60s.
This is a favourite spot for relaxing with a book or sharing some tapas with friends on the lush green grass or under the shade of the palm trees. This cool tranquil oasis has plenty of room to escape the shoppers of Palermo.
In the southern part you'll find a children's playground and higher concentration of dog-walkers, so head to the northern grassy slope adjacent to Avenida Las Heras and join the scantily clad sunbathers.
