This quite ordinary bar and restaurant at the foot of Pali market in Bandra has a typically Mumbai ‘rags-to-riches’ story. It used to be a bit of a dive with an ideal location to tank up before heading to the fancier clubs in the hood. Now it is a destination in its own right. The stellar seafood at affordable prices is partially responsible for the spike in popularity. But like a cult film, it's hard to see how it went from inexpensive to institution.
