Shanghai Theater is a cultural and art centre for Chinese folk customs and art forms. The Lyric Theatre inside Shanghai Theater, with a seating capacity of 1800, is considered the world’s biggest and best equipped theatre with the most advanced automatic mechanical stages. Besides traditional performances, acrobatic shows are the most popular. Traditional acrobatics is part of Chinese history. Chinese gymnasts are world famous and it is a visual delight to watch them perform live! Shanghai Grand Theater is well known for its stunning acrobatic performances and high-quality sequences that blend the ancient and modern acrobatic techniques. Shows include performances like bicycle pyramids, fire stunts, chair towers and lion dancing. It’s a great fun activity to indulge in while travelling with kids. The shows are known to enthral the audience of all ages with jaw-dropping stunts. Dare devil sequence performed by motor bike riders and bicycle pyramids by women acrobats are some of the popular parts of the show.
