Gallery Espace

One of the older art galleries of the city, Gallery Espace was started by Renu Modi in 1989 and is celebrating 25 years of success. It was launched with a bang with the autobiographical works of MF Hussain and went on to represent other celebrated artists such as J. Swaminathan, Manjit Bawa and Krishen Khanna, to name a few. The focus of the gallery has been on spotting new talent and providing them a platform, some of the artists that showed very early on at Gallery Espace are names to reckon with in the contemporary Indian art scene today. As one of the veteran galleries in the country, Espace has been active in almost all the major art fairs and is actively engaged in collaborations across various institutions.
