The region of Edmonton boasts a whopping 80 golf courses and because of the long summer days, where the sun shines for about 18 hours, visiting some of these courses in the summer is definitely recommended. You don’t have to drive out of the city to experience some of the best golf courses in the province, as there are numerous courses within the city limits. The Lewis Estates Golf Course has been continually voted as the best public course in Edmonton year after year, and the perfect fairways and long greens will convince you that it’s worthy. If you want a real challenge, head to Riverside Golf Course where the narrow fairways and abundance of trees will have even the experts challenged, plus this course makes you feel as though you are truly immersed in nature. For the true beginner, head to Twin Willows, a family friendly course that offers two completely different nine-hole courses. Reasonably priced with shorter holes, it’s a great place to start your love for golf.
