Dedicated to everything from fine arts to Argentina’s complex political history, there are several interesting museums in Buenos Aires. Museo Evita is a great place to understand the importance that Evita or Argentina’s First Lady Eva Peron holds in the country’s history, and traces her life through videos, audio, photographs and artefacts. Head to the Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos, to delve a little deeper into Argentina’s political history—this building was the ruling military junta El Proseco’s clandestine torture centre between 1976 and 1983 and now examines this period through photographs, documents, films and oral history.
