Shambala Yoga

Dream of dipping into downward dog as the sun shines down and you can hear the ocean waves gently lap at the shore? Well, here you can do just that making your dreams come true. As the island of Koh Tao’s original yoga studio, the charming Shambala Yoga center has been “spreading peace, love and happiness since 1997”. Daily classes at the beautiful studio are all beginner-friendly, multi-level Hatha yoga sessions and all equipment, such as mats, is provided so you can go straight from the beach into class without having to stop for anything along the way. Students can drop into any classes for a one-time fee or get a discount when purchasing a 10-class card. Private tuition and instruction is also available. It is housed in an all-wood studio that’s open to the outside at Blue Wind Resort on the island’s North Sairee Beach. Classes run in the morning and afternoons year round. Since the sessions are open to beginners and are often filled with travellers, the studio offers a perfect opportunity for those just being introduced to yoga or wanting to try something new and different on their holiday.
