Peruvian handicrafts are some of the most colourful ones in the world. At Mercados Inca, you will find brightly coloured handbags, shawls, sweaters, and jewellery displayed well. There are stalls upon stalls selling Peruvian wares. These make for the perfect souvenirs—you’ll find plenty of things to gift friends and family back home. Peruse through stalls and choose the stuff you like. Don’t buy it at the first stall you see—you will spot similar things at a lot of shops at Mercados Inca. Try to put your bargaining skills to good use and buy the product wherever you get the best deal. Smiles and a bit of Spanish go a long way here. However, do beware that Mercados Inca is extremely popular with tourists, so prices tend to be a bit on the expensive side. But it provides a safe and predictable shopping experience, perfect if you are in Lima for a short time. Even if you don’t want to shop, we’d suggest dropping by Mercados Inca just for the photo opportunities.
