Located just 2 km from harbour town of Bol on the Croatian island of Brač, the Zlatni Rat is considered the most beautiful beach of Croatia. It is a symbol of Croatian tourism and features on most of the travel brochures. Known as the Golden Horn, the beach is a strip of half a kilometer of land which extends into the Adriatic Sea like a horn. The beauty of Zlatni Rat is that it keeps changing shape with sea currents and tides. Best way to reach Zlatni Rat is to take a car ferry from Dubrovnik to Sumartin and then drive down the last leg till the beach. It takes around 4 and a half hours to reach the Golden Horn from Dubrovnik. The Vidova Gora mountain towers over the beach; hiking to the top of the mountain is an ideal way to soak in the magnificence of the Zlatni Rat. The view of a tongue shaped land surrounded by turquoise blue ocean will leave you clicking hundreds of pictures. Soak up the sun at this picture-perfect postcard golden horn beach, it is nothing short of a paradise!
