An iconic painter from Mexico, Frida Kahlo still enjoys a following that can make any artist envious. Her work has a very impressive folk art style and revolves around identity, post-colonialism, gender, race and more. Her self-portraits are pretty much a rage in contemporary times, and one can easily find her traces in places as diverse as some wall art in Cuba, a chic cafe in Santorini, a taxi in Mumbai, or on the walls of a plush quarter in Paris. Yes, that is how impressive Frida’s work is.
