This sanctuary is situated 52 km from Panaji in the foothills of the Western Ghats in Goa. Only eight sq km in size, Bondla is one of the smallest Parks in the country and contains a mini-zoo, deer-safari park, gardens and a few cottages for visitors. Common animals here include the gaur, black-faced langur, jackal and wild boars. The gaur also happens to be Goa's state animal and can be easily sighted from elevated vantage points which are placed around the Park.
