Widely considered to be the prettiest beach in Sanya, Yalong Bay, situated around 15 kilometres away from the city centre is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and walking. Like Dadonghai Bay, there’s the option of indulging in a bevy of water sports, including snorkelling, diving and banana boat rides. The bay also contains five small islands, where adventure sports are organised. Most five-star resorts are clustered around the bay and include the Ritz-Carlton, the Hilton, the Marriott, the Sheraton and the Crowne Plaza. Unfortunately, the bay has become a tad polluted in recent years because of its location next to a busy shipping route.
